My \\\\'03 CV Sport has some issues. First, the HVAC blower motor quit. I bypassed the harness and the motor works fine; both A/C & heat. The car has auto climate control. The NEXT day, the power locks stopped working, including the outside keypad and remote and trunk release. Ran a diagnostic ; not an Auto Zone diagnostic, but a real diagnostic. Came up that the door control module was bad and the blower speed controller was bad. Last year, I had the entire HVAC module replaced, as it only blew from the defrost vents. That still works fine. I find it strange that multiple electrical components could fail within hours of each other. However, according to Edmunds, the 2003 Crown Vic was the worst year of all built.. Can anyone PLEASE help. I don\\\\'t want to spend money on something that I don\\\\'t need to. And yes, I\\\\'ve disconnected the battery to see if a computer would reboot. No help.

Sounds like you have a power wire chaffed somewhere. You will need to start tracing wires (probably under the dash) for chaffing and breaks.

First check fuses. Second make sure the brake lights are working properly. The Cruise control is wired with the brake light circuit/switch. I assume the speedo is working.

Talked to the previous owner and he told me that he had dropped the steering column and forgot to unplug it and that he pulled the wires out of the pigtail. All my lights work, fuses are good and speedo works.
