I have a completely stock 89' Bronco 351 w/ C6 82,000 original miles. Looks like I'll be needing some top end work / head job. I'll pay a pro to rebuild the heads, but do all the installs myself. Would love to buy a 400+HP crate motor, but have better thing to spend my money on then that at the moment. I am however open to spending a little extra for some mild "plug and play" type horse power improvements since I have things apart.

I'm already thinking shorty headers, new exhaust, and good cold air intake. But would I improve things w/ after market heads, intake, cam, etc? Would love to hear some others ideas and opinions.

I have a 351W EFI in my 89 Bronco that gave out. I bought a new ford remanufactured long block to install. I pulled the C6 and had it rebuilt with a good shift kit. I have been debating doing some engine tweaks before I reinstall.
