im interested in taking out the big clunky air snorkel, filter, and multiple tubes that makes up the stock air intake for my 1990 5.0 bronco. I was thinking about getting a performence cone air filter, and run tubing from the air intake port into the engine straight to the filter, which i was thinking about tucking close to the grille.

is there kits that will offer something better? and will it mess up the balance of gas and air in the engine?
I've been looking for some air kits, but there dosent seem to be much for the older fords.

Thanks

K&N has them. They are expensive but give you some more HP. I would just buy the K&N filter and make your own intake.

I just bought the K&N filter and some
2 3/4 inch drain field pipe at Lowe's
the pipe cost $3 and fit right into the
stock plumbing and the filter. You have
to use some padding and some angle iron
to keep it off the stock filter brace, but
the filter only cost $45 and the kit cost
$275. I gives quite a bit of power and
the sound is awesome.

Thats not dented, It's customized

Topher,
Do you want to sell the stock set-up?
Is it in perfect condition?
