Since we found some pin-holes in the front pans we replaced ALL 4 pans & both toe-boards. She is rock-solid now.....

We cut out the rear 24" of old frame rail on both sides & made up new rails using 11 ga. 2"x3" box tubing. I made new thick-wall inserts for the shackle & bumper bolts to go thru the rail. Tubing was then welded to a piece of .080"...

After Danny welded in the floor pans he ran a bead of seam-sealer around each panel, then primed the bottom in epoxy primer, then with lizard skin tinted with red oxide. Looks brand new !!!!

Maybe with a 2 barrel carb, 3 speed with OD & a 2.56 rear end, I could get from one station to the next. I may try it just to "break it in"......... why not ????????

Threw on a couple of 17" Mustang tires/wheels so I could roll it around. Installed the rear end housing & axles/brakes so I could get some of the parts out of the shop & on the cars they belong. Got to get some room in there !!!!!!

Getting rid of the garbage. Frame rails are in very good condition except for the 1st 14" on the pass side. Will make a new rail section & weld in. Thinking about capping all the rails before I weld in the crossmember kit.
