Originally I thought this drain would have been clogged up. This is a fairly common problem with these cars. The water gets trapped inside and rusts away the fresh air intake.

Here's the driver side. This cars been to the body shop. The circled area actually has a hole from where the guy bent it back into shape, he filled it in with what felt like winshield glue.

It's hard to see from this pic. But this area is rusted. Part of the splash guard was missing on this side of the car. The water found its way inside.
