This is a typical underhood/chassic Ford harness connector. It's made up wires, a rubber weather-tight piece, the plastic connector, and a red plastic keeper.

Tools needed - preferably a small pic, but a tiny flat-head screwdriver will work, also.

Here you can see foam/rubber piece removed. You can also see the plastic tabs that hold the wires in place (circled).You cant pull the wires out until Turn the piece back over to get access to the tabs/clips.

View from the front side. These are the tabs that hold the wires in place. There is one tab for each wire. The tabs press up against the metal connector on the wire (see next pic). These tabs are very brittle.
