Engine: |
Bone stock 5.0L. Aside from a couple of gaskets and seals (oil pan, rear main), it's never been cracked open. |
Drivetrain: |
RAM billet flywheel, original T-5 manual, FMS aluminum driveshaft, original 2.73 rear. Fifth clutch. First four lasted 100k total, before I finally found out it was the self-adjust mechanism killing the clutches. Current clutch has been in for 65k. Everything behind the crank will be up for a rebuild over the winter. |
Notes: |
I'm the second owner on this vehicle, and have owned it since 10/16/1996. It's my primary three-season daily driver, when I'm not on the bike. Other minor mods include a full exhaust, pulleys, and replacement of the original filter box with a March kit. The cooling system has also been completely reworked, with a FMS radiator, silicone hoses, and a high flow pump (can't remember whether it was Edelbrock or Milodon, it's been a few years). The car is just quick enough to be fun, but I've mostly left it alone since it's my primary DD. She ran 14.5@96.5 at 135k miles with a lousy 2.25 60' on street tires and the 2.73's, so she does well for a high mileage car that I would consider stock. |

Time to repaint that trim around the windshield.

In front of the long term home renovation project. The interior was so godawful I haven't even gotten to the exterior yet. Looks best from a distance.

This is a fairly nice shot -- the dirt's not as obvious.

Same day as the Bronco exhaust photos. I had the camera for the evening and wanted some current pics, didn't even have time to clean her up.
