Nickname: Babe the Blue Ox
Mileage: 135
Engine: 1979 Grand Marquis 351W/2V, fully rebuilt and using the Grand Marquis accessory brackets, serpentine drive belts and Motorcraft 2150-2V carburetor. The starter is a '93 Bronco 351W PMGR starter, and the cabling is repurposed from a '95 Explorer. The original engine was a 351M/2V.
Drivetrain: 1979 Grand Marquis C4 automatic, also fully rebuilt, with reconditioned driveline, and stock 9" rear, 2.47 gears. I have a ring & pinion from a '79 Bronco 9" with 3.50 ratio, waiting to be installed when I do an AOD conversion in the future.
Notes: GT model with factory Sport Gauge option, but
speedo is replaced with 1973 120 MPH unit. I got it for free, built and installed the drivetrain for a friend who needed a car, but he needed a pickup due to his back problems. So I bought a 1990 F150 and traded it for the Ranchero. After many years of off and on use, I'm repairing problems, including the header panel, and will replace damaged passenger door.

From last year, when I got the topper for my birthday. It needs some sealing work, as it leaks when the rain falls, but it looks very cool, and will likely be rehabbed and painted to match the car in the future.
