Bought two trucks for $150 in a SWEET deal. My friend Brian is/has been helping me switch the engine from one to the other over the past two months in our spare time. I knew a smidge about engines when I started but wanted to learn a lot more. I can now identify and replace/fix: celenoid, starter (can put one in and out of this truck by myself in 15 mins.), distributor, thermostat, spark plugs and wires, alternator, drive belt, serpentine belt, choke, etc.
We're down to the wire now. Almost got it started up the other day but we're having some trouble with the fuel lines. It's got us stumped. But we're gonna do some research and see what we can find... |
