My dad bought the vehicle used about a year and a helf ago, at which point, due to lack of proper maintenance, one of the pistons spun a bearing and blew a chunk out of the case wall. I recently bought a new imported motor from japan and am replacing the old one. |

looked under valve cover to check the cams on the new motor. very impressed! no sludge or rust or damage visable

back view of intake manifold. different setup from the old motor, not sure what exactly that piece does as opposed to the old intake, but i guess it helps with air flow(?)

looking into the throttle body. looks good from here and i can tell the intake is more geared towards perfomance than the old one. also very clean inside

old disty in new motor. ze came with destroyed disty. not a problem since it didnt look like i had the right connectors for it anyway.

at last! finally got it out. only took about 6 hours. had some trouble getting the axels disconnected

Getting the motor out. Radiator is removed, along with the distibutor and air box.
