For now, it's a very fresh (even still smells new), painfully stock and very clean GS "Convenience Pkg" with a parchment cloth interior, adjustable pedals, Traction-Control, AM/FM/CD/Cassette stereo, factory tinted windows and 16 inch steelies/wheel covers and Goodyear Integrity's.
A clean slate...
I'd like to set the OEM wheels aside in the spring and find a set of aftermarket 17 inch wheels and 255/55-17's. Drop it an inch to inch and a half all around and put on Addco swaybars front and rear. Although this will be a daily commuter, I may also look for a handheld reprogramer to tweek the tune and transmission set points. Dual exhaust will be in the future as well. Effective and functional, but discreet and hidden. |

The genesis of my experience with the "Panther" platform started with several Torinos, the most recent of which was this '72. Sadly, it was necessary to sell the ol' girl when we moved from Ohio to Tennessee. Maybe one day......

The rear driver's door was the initial point of impact when I was hit... westbound through Nashville on I-40 on my way to work. The impact threw me sideways...

... and then I did a "Dale Earnhardt" into the concrete divider. I did Dale one better, though... I walked away with only a broken hand. God Bless these cars. They can take one heck of a hit. And, no... thankfully, no one else was hurt.

Our "new" 2004 Gran Marquis GS. One owner car from Pennsylvania w/ 39K miles. Not quite what some would consider a daily "commuter" car, but it's the only car I'll trust my life to for 70 miles a day.
