Due to the installation of the firewall brace, the updating of the electrical and ignition components, and the bit of rust swiss-cheese found on the floor-pan, I am now playing a game of "how far in over my head can I get".
The interior is being removed, completely to make the access to the electrical and firewall brace easier. Along with that it made sense to:
Paint floorpan with POR 15 and POR Fiberglass over small holes
Fat-Mat Rattle-Trap (Dynamat) interior
Restore plastic with SEM Color Coat in Med-Gray
Replace Auto Trans colum with floor-shift
Replace Carpet
Install power ports
Replace CD radio with Knob style head unit
Better integrate A/C controls
Dual coil center speaker (front channels)
Replace 80-81 1/2 slide locks with push button locks that work

06/01/13 | Modification | 127500 | Project Snowball The factory 302 has seen its last days. The motor is worn and tired to the point that there is so much blow-by on the rings and seals that oil is dripping out of the breather in the valve cover.
Option 1 - Rebuild existing 302 - Decided against this as it is a thin wall casting used to save GVW in an efford by Ford to improve emmissions.
Option 2 - Crate motor - Decided against as "off the shelf" builds are set up for mustangs rather than trucks. Custom build would be costly.
