1997 Ford Crown Victoria
Owner: rtaillon1
From: Fayetteville, NC, U.S.A.        (Other registries in NC)
Year, Make, & Model: 1997 Ford Crown Victoria        (Other Ford Crown Victorias)
Nickname: Gracie
Mileage: 97
Engine: 4.6L SFI V8 Crown Vic, LX, factory original. Have changed the air filter, with a racing filter since the older one was so nasty after I purchased the car. Going to purchase a Bosch wire set for the next oil change or when I do my engine maintenance next. The plugs I will get are accel spark plugs. They are more like the factory plugs and I do not want to put racing plugs in it but do want slight performance plugs. The oil I will be using is 10-40, just doing the ten to put a little extra weight to it to help the engine internals last longer. I can't go any higher in weight because Ford uses lifters that will get stuck with heavier oil. Also I like to use the oil filters with magnetism to them so they will trap the metal particles. The filter also has a bolt on the end so it is far easier to get off and break the hea seal.
Drivetrain: Factory drive train. Smooth shifting after battery change and computer reset.
Transmission is 4R70W with overdrive. Rear wheel drive, four wheel disc brakes. Gold standard brake pads purchased from Advance Auto.
Notes: Bought from a gentleman in my city, who used the car as a real estate sales traveler.
I bought this car after getting rid of my mustang 3.8l v6. I have changed the factory radio to an aftermarket, and am waiting a little to change the speakers, since my driver door panels are screwed in with metal screws by the arm rest. I want to change the rear shock absorbers one day as well to gas struts or to air struts where I can adjust the ride pressure. I changed the fan belt but as I was putting the fan cover back on trying to get the bottom prongs in place so it wouldn't bounce around, I accidentally broke the top screw holder that attaches to the radiator. The part that attaches to the radiator is plastic I think but will gladly take pointers on how to fix this besides getting a new radiator.

Update 4/4/12
I finally got some crc or mass air flow cleaner and blew around the intake manifold sensor. All I can say is WOWWWW. Gracie rides like a beauty and has the horsepower like she would have had off the factory line.
