cut it entirely though near the middle by using the recessed areas to minimize effort.

cut it all the way across the middle. try and avoid cutting too deep like i did

cut the weld best you can without cutting into the tube. just need to weaken it enoguh

hit with a large hammer on the outside corner of that section

break that section off move to the next

all 4 sections broke off. now you can grind the tube smooth for the new perches
