Owner: AngelQ         (All of this user's registries on SuperMotors)
From: Lockport, IL, U.S.A.        (Other registries in IL)
Year, Make, & Model: 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche        (Other Chevrolet Avalanches)
Nickname: Ava
Mileage: 169000
Engine: Yes, I'm pretty certain it has one.

I think it's name might be: 5.3L V8
Drivetrain: Yes, I believe it has a drivetrain thingy as well.
Notes: Purchased in May, 2004. This is MY truck and I really LOVE(D) it! It's the one and only vehicle that I alone got to pick out. It has the Z71 package, Is black and has the cargo area covers and sun roof that opens. It's had tons of work done to it since we bought it.....Fuel pump, Bearing Hub assembly, transmission overhaul, water pump, Inner tie rod, rear shocks and umpteen brake jobs.

Oh, and the driver's side mirror is broken and being held on with black electrical tape. I SWEAR that tree jumped outta nowhere! I have a new replacement mirror and the whole housing in my possession, but being that the mirror is heated and electrical, it's not anything I can do myself.

However, my beautiful Avalanche is currently sitting, unused, in my driveway due to the fact that you have to stand on the brake pedal to get it to stop, and it WILL start to stop but then all-of-a-sudden it feels as if a balloon is quickly being blown up under the pedal and whatever this is prevents it from stopping all the way. Too Scaaaaary.

My husband would of known how to fix this himself (he was constantly cursing over all the brake jobs he's had to do for me on this truck), but he died of a massive heart attack June 2012. Now, because I can barely afford to keep up with the gasoline this baby eats anyhow, I have to use any "repair" money I may have on my other vehicle (which was his....the 2006 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor), because it doesn't eat as much gasoline. Oh and on its last trip to the mechanic I was told that both the rear and front differential needs to be replaced. I think the mechanic gave me a cost, but I'm guessing that because I cannot remember the amount, it was far more than I could afford anywho.

Still, it IS a gorgeous truck! At least it looks pretty in my drive way ; )
