I got this Bronco in 2004 with 80,000mi on it. I have now put over 105,000mi on it personally. Everything you can imagine that bolts on has been replaced except the basic motor. I did just put on a new timing chain and front cover along with a complete new cooling system starting from the front. Radiator, water pump, thermostat, and heater core.
The motor is a 5.0L and is getting a little long in the tooth, but runs great! Minimal oil leakage. It burns about 3qts of oil in 3000mi. Mostly out of the pipe because of age. It can be -35* here in Colorado and this baby will run! I love it!

Drivetrain: |
Stock Drivetrain. Within the last 20,000mi I have replaced the front rotors, breaks and hubs. The rear end squish clearance has been monitored and adjusted by my mechanic thru the years and is doing fine. Had some issues with the 4wheel drive not kicking in. Turned out to be a dirty scroll in the shifting motor on the transfer case I fixed myself. This is basically a daily driver @ 32mi/day back and forth to work on country roads. I pray for BIG SNOW! But the last few years we have not seen it. I'm ready tho! |
