1987 Fiat Spider
Owner: DAW         (All of this user's registries on SuperMotors)
From: Seattle, WA, U.S.A.        (Other registries in WA)
Year, Make, & Model: 1987 Fiat Spider        (Other Fiat Spiders)
Nickname: Maserati
Mileage: 38
Engine: The car is not a Fiat it is a Maserati Biturbo Spyder. The was no selection for make or model above so I just picked an Italian brand.

2.8L aluminum V6, twin intercooled turbos. 1987 was the first year for EFI.
High performance exhaust system otherwise stock.
Drivetrain: 5 sp.
LSD differential.
Notes: The Biturbo is the red-headed stepchild of the Maserati world but I had been interested in them for a long time before I jumped on this red with black soft top car with only 38,000 miles on it.
It is a handful to work on and there are droves of owners who were in over their heads with these cars.
A summer car, a lot of fun to drive.
Unfortunately, I started it when it was too cold outside one late spring and the timing belt jumped, sending the pistons crashing into the valves.
It has been stored under a cover for 9 years now. I have a spare engine and will swap the heads but it hasn't gotten a high priority vs other projects.
