Nickname: |
CVPI |

Engine: |
4.6 V8
The Police Interceptor was motivated by a single-overhead-cam, 4.6-liter V-8. The engine produced 250 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 297 foot-pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm. For comparison, the standard 2011 Crown Victoria put out 239 horsepower and 281 foot-pounds of torque. |
Drivetrain: |
The 2006–2011 Police Interceptors are equipped standard with an open 3.27:1 rear axle (Axle code Z5), with a trac loc 3.27:1 rear axle (Axle Code X5) optional, and are electronically limited to 140 mph (225 km/h) due to critical driveline speed limitations (the weight of the vehicle with law-enforcement equipment on-board makes it highly unlikely the vehicle could ever reach this figure). |
Notes: |
I bought the Crown Vic Police Interceptor from a guy who bought from an auction. I had a Lincoln Town Car 1999 with all extras and it was great but I always wanted an ex police car. I sold the Lincoln and I bought the what I called now CVPI. 2009, with only 129+K miles. It was a highway trooper silver and blue. The interior in great condition after I cleaned. The exterior needs to be pain but only the blue areas as the clear coat is coming off. The CVPI is in great running condition, great suspension and good tires for now. It is my daily driver to work mostly in highway 81 in Virginia |
