While stopped in the westbound lanes of Golf Road trying to make a left turn onto Kingsdale Road in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, vehicle was hit in the rear passenger's side quarter panel by a motorcycle who made a poorly-timed lane change. The damage was only cosmetic, with several minor paint abrasions, a small dent above the bumper, a large crack in the bumper skirt, and a crack in the taillight lens. The insurance company assessed the damage at $1,252.47, but, despite the accident being a hit-and-run where the victim was not held liable, the $250 deductible was not waived. Some of the scratches and paint transfer were cleaned or buffed off, but the body damage was never repaired.
