I went around the front of the car like Ford did. It was just easier and I had the wire.

02/03/08Modification182654New 3G alt.
I replaced the old 2G 65 amp with a 3G 135 amp alt. from a 93 Taurus Wagon 3.0. I used 2awg red wire and a 175 amp circuit breaker. This is a 7 in alt and it bolts right in, you will have to replace the top bolt with a longer one and use a nut. I remove the old wiring and cut into the Green/Red wire, thats the only wire you have to use. I had the 2awg wire so everything only cost about $65, the circuit breaker cost more than anything else.
