1973 Ford Ranchero
Owner: Lee Buckalew
From: St. Louis, MO, U.S.A.        (Other registries in MO)
Year, Make, & Model: 1973 Ford Ranchero        (Other Ford Rancheros)
Nickname: Hot Rod
Mileage:
Engine: Current: 351c 2v, mild cam mostly stock, .030 over (357 cu. in.)
building to 396 with roler rockers, roller cam and looking at Arao Engineering 32 valve heads. Should make over 600 hp, 500+ lb. ft. torque. (no blower, nitrous or turbo)
Drivetrain: current FMX, 9" rear with 3.00
changing to C4 or C6 with Gear Vendors overdrive. Keeping 9" but taking gearing to between 4.11 and 4.56 depending on final tire choice
Notes: This was my father in laws car. He bought it in show shape but never garaged it. He ended up having it shaved and the stock Ginger color sprayed over with Red.
I will be doing a frame up rebuild that will take a few years at least given having young kids at home and a more than full time job. My plans are to make it beautiful again and have the engine capable of standing up to the image. I may race it occasionaly, 1/4 miles.
