currently 400 cid smogger on propane, "460 crazy!" ,429 crank, t/chain, 40 thou overbore, 10.5 domed pistons, oversized stellite valves, ballanced, crank, pistons & rods, cam still under consideration along with intake, it will still be on propane, headers, 2 1/2 ex/ dynomax turbos, with shorty dumps, currently under const. Due to $ constraints & the will to build BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER, I had to stop the build on "460 Crazy". Instead I am putting in a used 460 frm a 77 lincoln, the rest of the truck will be modified instead. I will probably resume it later this summer or early fall. |

Bought my Bronco from a friend 3 yrs. ago in stock cond. Previous owner had changed the rear gears from stock 3:55's to 2:72's prompting my buddy to think the t/case was done. hense a cheap sell. It had the soft top with it but my bud had allready started to part it out. The roll bar was gone along with most of the interior, I had the captain' s chairs from my other truck, and found the other missing parts through the local buy & sell & various wreckers, after the first camping/ wheeling trip, which slashed a side wall on the P235 75's I, I determined the gear ratio difference. I had some old BFG 31's that I put on and had a set of 3:55 9" gears I installed and there it started! Every time I broke something it was made bigger & stronger I even quit drinking to have the extra $ to keep up with it. I wheel it hard , so I build it stronger, I don't think it will ever be finished, as you can see it's a work in progress. If I ever get the drive train done to my satisfaction I allready own a mint body for it , that will only go on if I roll it or I stop using it as my main bush toy (I have others) Oh so you know it is my daily driver. |
