Use wire strippers to make two ring cuts around the wire.

A razor knive can slit between the two ring cuts to make a bare connection point.

Split the wire in half making a hole.

Don't forget to have the heatshrink ready and insert the wire through the hole.

These connections corrode, heat up, and melt. BAD!~
