Maintenance & Modification Logs
Date | Type | Mileage | Title / Description | $ Amount | 01/07/07 | Maintenance | | Pulled front axleshafts Pulled my front axleshafts this weekend in preparation for rebuilding the front differential. Cleaned up the shafts with a grinder and painted with Rustoleum. Will be putting them back in once the differential is done. | 5.00 | 11/12/06 | Modification | | Swapped to Manual Transfer Case Bought a rebuilt manual transfer case and swapped out my failing electric case. Also installed the shifter and a trim piece for it. Now I just need to get an adapter to make the 4x4 light work. | 150.00 | 10/10/06 | Modification | | Installed Explorer Leather Seats Picked up a set of Explorer Eddie Bauer leather seats off the free market. Installed and ran wiring to them for the power functions. Working fairly well, but need to level the driver's side seat a little more. | 20.00 | 07/26/05 | Maintenance | 169000 | New Cap & Rotor Replaced Cap & Rotor. Changed plugs and wires this past spring. | 15.00 | 07/24/05 | Repair | 169000 | Replaced horn Original horn had been submerged too many times in the mud. Only one tone worked. Picked up a Blazer replacement horn from Fleet Farm and installed it. Mounted on hood instead of front end. Horn now sounds like a real truck horn. | 20.00 | 06/25/05 | Modification | 169000 | Remounted Roof Rack Bought the roof rack from previous owner. He was cleaning out his shed, so I got lots of spare parts from him as well. Mounted roof rack, hooked up the lights on it. Got the rack for $50 and another $20 for wire and parts to hook the lights up. | 70.00 | 05/10/05 | Modification | 169000 | Added lights Bought four Blazer 55w lights from Wal-Mart and mounted on front bumper. Used heavier guage wire with relays and wired up to switch on dash. Fairly bright, but are more of a spot light than a flood. Good for high beams. Lights were $19.99 for a pair. | 50.00 | Total | 330.00 |
