I know it looks cheesy with the stock spare on the back, but believe it or not it saved me in the middle of nowhere.

If your going to do this... verify that the new core supprt has the radiator support brackets allready attatched. I didn't notice until I had the new one in, and had to pull it back out, remove the OE brackets, and mount them to the new support

10/15/06Modification148050Tru Speed Speed Sensor
Installed a Super Lift Tru Speed, Speed Sensor. Instructions called to tap into ABS control Module in engine compartment. With the help of a wireing diagram, the correct wire was traced to behind the gauge cluster. Org/Blu. Does not matter where you tie into wire. I chose this location to avoid running wires into the engine compartment. Just a side note, since my air bags did not work, I decided to remove the warning bulb in the cluster. Doing this creates an open in the air bag monitering circuit and will sound an alarm beeper every time you turn the ignition on, and periodicly while you drive the vehicle. I do not plan on repairing the air bag, so I found the Air Bag Computer module under the dash aproxamately in the center of the dash board. It had two harness' plugged in which I un-plugged. This will turn that alarm off. The module installs easily. Only problem is, correcting the speedo also corrected the shift points for the tranny. Now the engine will bogg down from the taller tires. Should have installed gears when I did my differentials. I set the second setting on the tru speed module for a stock tire size and this essentially moves the shift points to a higher rpm.

03/24/06Modification146550Body Lift
Added a performance accsessories 3" body lift. All of the body mounts were shot and all except one of the body bolts and mounts had to be cut off the truck. FYI used hardware costs about 280.00 w/o the bushings. Jeffs bronco grave yard sent me a nice used set for that amount. The front frame horns had to be clearenced a little more than what the instructions stated on the outside corners to alow proper fit of the front bumper. The wireing harness for the transfer case had to be moved up a couple of inches. The drivers side foot well body seam also sometimes makes contact with the heads when in reverse. I guess I'll live with it for right now cause I can't swing a hammer in there.

09/11/05Repair142613cruise control
replaced sensor on master cylinder. I assume it detects when brakes are applied while the cruise control is active, and deactivates it when the brakes are depressed. the sensor went bad and was leaking brake fluid through the wire harness that was plugged into it. I had no idea what it was. I just wanted to stop the leak. I got my cruise control function back as an added bonus.
