Engine: 22R TAP reman black block, with new head and rotating assembly. Machine work done by Fernando of TAP.

I have the orginal engine from the 91, I plan on building it on the side for a backup. Going to port and polish the heads and polish the oil vally then have it rebuilt with new guides and seats going to use the stock valves, I have two heads sitting there that are straight. Going to debur the block, Might put a new rotating assembly but will probably just recondition the original as long as it falls into spec.
Drivetrain: 5 speed 4WD out of 91 PUP, axels and suspension slightly modifyed. Going to put a locker kit in it, and convert the IFS to Straight axel when I have the time and money. I'll find out what the ratios and model numbers are for the axels, tranny and T case when I get a chance.
Notes: Bought this in 05, sat while I drove my 91 till it finaly blew it's engine. Reconditioning it for a daily driver and weekend hunting/fishing/trailrunning trips. Engine is from TAP in Rancho Cordova, Everthing else from Napa The Parts Store in Natomas, and Toyota of Davis for the parts that arn't avialable from TAP or Napa. Misc parts, transmisson and Tcase and some electronics are salvaged from the 91. I'm starting to get impatient,
Tired of working on shit, I just want to drive around and have fun!

86 Bought in 05 for 1100$
91 Bought in 06 for 1500$
Reman 22R 1100$

This vechicle is now a runner.

This is the only spot of rust in the engine compartment. Yeah it's a priety big job, maybe 5-10 hours of labor to make that goaway. More if I cut it out and completely replace it.

06/23/10Repair249515Fuel Injection Repaired
My dad got pissed at me for letting this thing sit and rot so I took it to Robinson's Automotive in Placerville CA. It's run by my dad's friend Marty and between him, his son and me running around for parts Marty and his son Josh got it running. New fuel tank, new fuel pump, modifactions to fuel pump and tank to adapt them to the 86. Wireing repair, salvaged plugs for all kinds of stuff that was broken on the injection wiring harness. New TPS and all the work that went into timing it in properly and figuring out the harness and where everthing plugged into. All that turned into 17 hours of shop time and a huge bill, but really it was super low considering that 17 hours of shop time at a dealership would of cost $3400 alone, not to mention parts. Marty got me out of there for $1900 and some change. I then spent all my free time in the last two weeks getting the bugs out and tracking down a exaust leak. I also adjusted the idol and adjusted the valves. I still have some seepage here and there. Spent around 200 on parts and hardware after the fact. It's a runner, pics coming soon. So with the exception of the intake, exaust pipe, suspension and chasis, this is a completely new truck.

02/11/09Damage Dead Fuel Delivery
Got everything together last year, went to start it and it had no fuel, there was fuel getting to the fuel rail, the fuel pump was pumping just fine, the injectors were just rebuilt the year before last and stored properly, only thing that's different is that I pulled the car alarm and cruse control from under the dash and repaired the wiring harness. I can only assume that I screwed up when I did repaired this stuff, or I fried the computer somehow. I honestly don't know, need to get a bit of cash saved up and get it to a shop where they have the resources to figure out what the problem is, as of last year this truck is a dead project. I just can't figure out what's wrong with it.

Sucks. =[
