After cutting the ring to the right circumference, I installed it. Fortunately, it's too thick, so I had to use a stack of washers & the nut to pull the shaft into the bushing (F3TZ-2C342-A kit). This should keep it extra-tight for a long time. But since it's Teflon, the tightness won't cause any binding or wear.
