It's much easier to get the rail out after the distributor is gone. I prefer to keep the injectors in the rail to keep fuel from dumping out until I'm ready.

DO NOT apply silicone grease to any part of the fuel system. The O-rings between the injectors & intake are outside the fuel system, so they're OK for silicone grease, and that'll make pulling the rail easier next time.
