i have the inlet of the filter complete.
i struggled finding a good way to do this. but this is the end result of the inlet side of the filter.
i used some angle iron and plastic strapping to mount the filter housing steady and far enough away from the fender to fit. i also needed to make sure the hood hinge cleared the elbows.
i used 4inch sewer (3034, not sch40) 90* elbows. the flex hose from the cowl intake fits very nicely inside the hub of the elbow to where it will not come out of its own but its easy to insert. i used some machine screws to keep the elbow mounted to the housing
