whats_missing.jpg Re-assembly is everything in reverse.  Pay attention.  If you notice, in this picture I've re-attached the spindle and forgot the dust shield.  The spindle has to come back off before assembly can continue.

The nice thing about swapping 3rd members, and this is true for some Ford rear differentials as well, is that the 3rd member gearset is already set up, and there is no fiddling with shims, setting pinion depth, backlash, or anything.  Its a bolt-in procedure.  Should you need to remove any of the internal components of the 3rd member like the carrier, you may need some specialized tools like a heavy-duty case spreader.
