Here's a shot of the assembly that will bolt up underneath the truck. From the outside in, there is the slider with step, the truss, and the bracing that will mount to the truck body. The truss is held to the truck body at the top with 4 bolts. These 4 bolts are in shear and will bear the weight of the step (and the person stepping on it). Additionally, the braces (in compression) will bear the axial load that will be placed on the truss and transfer that load to the inside body mount locations. All mounting locations on the truck are stock, and no holes need to be drilled.
