because the seats came from a chevy with a pretty flat floor, but the floor of a ford has the seating area raised up, i had to fabriate a large bracket to raise the outside seat rail to be level with the inside.
i also needed to cover as much surface area of the body as i could due to rust . as well as some plates for the seat to sit on on the inside rail, it also has plates under the floor to reinforce the floor. the outside rails have an entie plate under the floor to maximize surface area and sandwich the floor.
the seats are very comfy and sturdy. the original seats were soo rusted out that i had several zipties holding it down to the floor. hopefully these seats will last a long time
