EBP Tube

This was much easier to R&R than the later trucks I've seen on some YouTube videos - the whole job can be done from above. After removing the tube (the sensor can be removed before or after the tube), I couldn't feel any exhaust flow. So I used shop air to blow most of the soot & ash out of the tube, before sandblasting it inside & out. Then I sprayed it inside & out with DupliColor Engine Clear DE1636, and used a small drill bit by hand to ream the exhaust fitting, the sensor, & its mount. To make sure it was flowing, I installed the tube & sensor from above while the engine was idling.

Most videos suggested a big change in engine performance after cleaning or replacing the tube, but I couldn't tell any difference.
