20200525_124120.jpg When the front sensor (with my finger blocking it) is darker than the rear sensor (as when a vehicle approaches with its high beams on), the mirror dims. But if the reverse circuit is hot (when the reverse lights are on), dimming is disabled for better visibility while backing.

The dash cam is mostly hidden from the driver's view by the RV mirror. But it's placed so its lens is in the wiper area so it will work in the rain.
