dscf3654--fuel-pump-access-cutout-bracing.jpg Bed brace test fit up top, to make sure I got the short braces squared up well and properly aligned with the lower portion of the ribs. The visible welds on top will get ground smooth, and the ends of the short pieces will be shaved 1/16" or so to slide over the main cross-support's lip. That way, the main support boxes my c-channel brace, which should make it pretty rigid.

I'll have to drill a few holes in the bed floor to spot weld the floor to the brace. If I'm feeling ambitious, I may try incorporating recessed tie-down points into it, but that'll probably wait for now.
