Over the past year, the transmission has randomly drifted from frequently setting a slip fault, to not frequently, and now it's becoming more frequent again. It also added the EBP fault several months ago, but this is the first time I've seen the PCM fault. The odd thing is that the trans goes into FMEM at the same geographical location NEARLY EVERY TIME. Regardless of where or how far I drive, I know that if it doesn't hit and start flashing the O/D OFF light when I touch the brake to turn off the highway in front of my house, it probably won't until the next time I'm there. If I continue driving past that turn, it never trips. On the way out, when the trans is cold, it never trips. If I make a short drive, and come straight home (like picking up supper), it's exactly as likely to trip at that spot on the way back as if I make a long drive, or if I stop somewhere for a while (long enough for the truck to cool off, OR NOT) and then come home later.

Based on the fact that the PCM code doesn't instantly re-appear after clearing, I assume it's being caused by the same fault as the others, and not actually a PCM internal failure.

The EBP was not among the wires that I found chewed after buying the truck.

But looking back at some other pics now, I guess it's possible the dislodged connector seal has allowed some corrosion...

I'll check tomorrow (assuming the temperature gets back UP close to freezing).
