ABS sensor (DY1123, F85Z-9E731-AB) should read 800-1400 Ohms across the pins (when disconnected), and more than 10K Ohms from any external metal (or the axle housing) to either pin.

K12 MEASURE RABS SENSOR AIR GAP:
_________________________________________________
1) Remove rear axle differential cover.
2) Measure the shortest distance from the RABS sensor pole piece (or metal case if equipped) to the teeth on the RABS sensor ring.
3) Rotate the axle 60-90 degrees.
4) Repeat the two previous steps four times for a total of five measurements.
5) Are all measurements between 0.127mm (0.005 inch) and 1.14mm (0.045 inch) and within 0.254mm (0.010 inch) of each other?

Yes
GO to step K13.

No
Measurements are not all between 0.127mm (0.005 inch) and 1.14mm (0.045 inch). CHECK for foreign material under RABS sensor mounting flange and on carrier housing. REPLACE RABS sensor.

Measurements are not all within 0.254mm (0.010 inch) of each other. REPLACE RABS sensor ring.

K13 CHECK CONDITION OF RABS SENSOR RING TEETH

1) Carefully inspect each tooth on the RABS sensor ring. (Rear axle differential cover should still be off.)
2) Are any teeth missing, malformed, or damaged?

Yes: REPLACE RABS sensor ring. GO to �Pinpoint Test S� to verify concern is resolved.
No: RETURN to �Pinpoint Test T�
