Tailgate Handle Improvements

The chromed pot-metal handle presses the center mechanism's levers down to pull the operating rods & release the latches. But as the bellcranks rotate, they angle outward, which can bend & break the handle's arms. A simple stop at the end of each lever prevents the handle's arms from sliding out or off. And graphite paint reduces the friction, making it easier to lift the handle, without collecting dirt like grease does.
