16-merge-fitted-to-pipes.jpg Put the exhaust back in the car and braced the pipes so they don't move around. Then trimmed and hammer fit the merge to the existing pipe. I'll TIG the v band flange to the merge then MIG the merge to the pipes. Haven't had any issues welding stainless to mild before. Should be fine. I'll have to get in there with a carbide burr to smooth it out but should be no worse than any other pipe connection.
