Before. Tailhousing bushings are prone to wear because they are only lubricated by the splash of fluid running up inside the tailhousing. The wear leads to driveshaft vibration, noise, & premature transmission failure. The common patch is to simply replace the bushing, or the entire tailhousing including a new bushing.

The only real solution is to provide a path for fluid to move under pressure to lubricate the bushing.
