Oh look, what's that visible in the background?  Those are uncoated HEADERS which means serious exhaust heat RIGHT THERE next to the airbox location.  This is why opening the bottom of your box (without sealing it with tubing) WILL result in you sucking in hot air at idle or on the starting line.
