I own a 1999 Crown Vic. It was a detective's car that was purchased at auction. 2 owners later it is in my driveway. I acquired this from a good friend via a trade/sale of the '97 Mitsubishi Eclipse I was building for my stepson that was to be his first car...I had approx $3500 invested at the time of the swap. The Vic had 87,000 miles on it, new intake and coil on plugs. The wheels/tires and exhaust came off of my parted out '71 Dart and were installed before the swap. (funny how things make full circle)
Other than front window motors and re-shooting the exhaust tips with black caliper paint I haven't done anything to the car but add fuel and change the oil at this point. The headliner is starting to come undone at the rear window, the gas cap hold as well as the trunk takes in water and I don't know how to fix that yet. Aside of that I LOVE the car and have decided it is way too nice to be my stepson's first car...he will have to do like I did at his age and work for it! |
