sunprogaugeerror_29pt89inhgbarometricpressure.jpg This was a test of my Sunpro temperature gauge. Note that the pot of water is boiling, and that the gauge is indicating 206°F.

The barometric pressure at the time was 29.89inHg, which means the boiling point of water was 211.94°F..

Calculating the error at the observed point: ( (207-211.94) / 211.94 ) *100 = -2.33%. Not bad at all for a $20 gauge!!!
