Howdy, y'all!!! I need some help in adapting a shaker air cleaner assembly to the 351W H.O. in my 84 Bronco. My main problem is that the engine sits so far back, with the air cleaner partially under the cowl. There's a few pics in my gallery if you want to take a look. Any help in making this work would be appreciated, Randy "Justshootme84"

A few weeks ago there was a Horse power TV episode with a shaker hood conversion on a 99 F150. If you can find the episode on the web, the manufacture made systems for several diffrent years.

Thats not dented, It's customized

I remember the episode on "TrucksTV" from a year or so ago. They don't list it on the website, but it was an install for a Dodge Dakota. That set-up, by profinish-proglass.com, won't work for my Bronco because the shaker scoop is way too large and would interfere with the AC compressor and AIR pump at the front of the engine. I catch most of the shows on HPTV as well, but don't remember one on the F-150. I'll check their website and see what I find. Thanks for the info, Randy

It was a project F150 in Feb. They did a turbo, intercooler, and put a Mach 1 shaker hood, It was on Feb 2 2003, I found the pictures under Schedule in TrucksTV web site.

i found out that Keystone makes a shaker hood kit for 97 & up F-150 and SportTrac, that may be the one on TrucksTV. At just over $1000, I can cut my old hood! I just need the shaker scoop and a way to make it functional, if that's possible!

Yeah, same problem there, too. Seems to be impossible to find custom parts for pre-97 Ford trucks. I've just about given up on the idea to mount anything on top of the carb due to clearance problems. My idea now is to add a full-length, Mustang-type hood scoop (2" tall), then cut a hole and mount the shaker-style scoop inside that and on top of the hood. It will not be a true "shaker", but will still be ram-air if I cut a smaller hole in the hood and work out a duct system to the air cleaner. At least this way, I can close it off when off-roading through mud and water. I should have this done in a couple of weeks, so there is still time for someone to give me a better idea!!! Thanks for the help, Randy
